St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office asks for help to find missing teen

Destiny Wever

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old female.

Destiny Weaver ran away from her Paradis home, and authorities believe she may be in either Ascension Parish or East Baton Rouge Parish.

“As of this point in the investigation, no foul play is suspected,” St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. James Grimaldi said. “Destiny is not believed to be in any danger.”

Weaver is described as a 13-year-old white female with blonde hair. She is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 95 lbs.

“We have received at least one call from a concerned citizen about the child’s whereabouts,” Grimaldi said. “This is very common to receive calls from citizens that have alleged sightings of missing people … we take each tip seriously and will look into each call to validate the information.”

If anyone has information about Destiny’s whereabouts, they are urged to contact Detective Steven Fontenot of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-783-1135 or 985-783-6807.
