St. Charles Parish: Good Samaritans robbed at gunpoint

A Boutte man was arrested after allegedly asking a pair of teenagers for a ride home, then robbing them at gunpoint.

Terron Ingram, 17, of 538 S. Kinler Drive, has been charged with armed robbery, two counts of use of a firearm and use or possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia.

According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ingram told the victims he needed a ride to his Alexandra Street home, a request they agreed to.

“After they’d gone down that street for a few moments, he told them they’d passed it up,” Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Patrick Yoes said. “Once they stopped, he produced a handgun and robbed them.”

Ingram allegedly stole money, cell phones and keys from the victims, then fled into the nearby woods before police apprehended him.

Ingram is being held in Nelson Coleman Correctional Center on a $100,000 bond.
