LIVING WAY OF THE CROSS

LULING – Holy Family 9th and 10th grade students will present the Living Way of the Cross on Friday, March 16 at 6:30 pm at Holy Family Church. Walk with Jesus to his Crucifixion during this 45-minute meditation.
JESUS AND THE END TIMES – THE CLASS

DESTREHAN – Dr. Brant Pitre addresses the intriguing topic Jesus and the End Times at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Last session, March 19 from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

EXPLORE THE SACREDNESS OF GOD

HOUMA – The 2007 Spring Series, Sacred, is high-energy Catholic worship for teenagers, young adults, the young-at-heart and anyone longing to explore the sacredness of God, the sacredness of the Eucharist, and the sacredness of love. Each 2-hour event features Christian rock music, worship of the Eucharist, and a talk by national youth speaker Paul George. George is well-known for his ability to develop a Gospel relevancy for young adults while channeling his message through stories and humor.

Spring dates are Wednesdays at 7 p.m., March 21, April 18, and May 16. New location is the Houma Municipal Auditorium.

GET YOUR FISH DINNERS DURING LENT

Every Friday during lent the Knights of Columbus are frying fish throughout St. Charles Parish. Locations include St. Charles Borremeo in Destrehan, Holy Family Church in Luling, and the KC Hall in Norco. Dinners beginning at 5:00.

LEARN HOW TO BECOME A SAINT

LULING – Want to become a Saint? Father Joe Palermo will tell you how in a three-day Lenton Mission March 26-28 at Holy Family Catholic Church. The inspirational talks begin at 7 p.m. and include mass on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday night, the talk will not include mass but will be followed by reconciliation.

HELP FEED THE HOMELESS

NEW ORLEANS – The Homeless and Hungry Ministry of the Center of Jesus the Lord prepares and brings hot meals to “the wall” on Elysian Fields where many hungry and homeless people gather. Volunteer to help: 504-261-9078.

All are welcome to attend the Catholic Charismatic 2007 Conference “God is Love” at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner on March 23-25. Speakers include Archbishop Hughes, Deacon Alex Jones, Sr. Ann Shields, Aggie Neck, and Fr. John Capuci.
