Sears Hometown gears up for Black Friday

Black Friday will bring with it numerous sales at Sears Hometown Store in Luling.

Store owner Kathy Witmer said they’re gearing up for a busy season.

“There’ll be a lot of sales,” Witmer said.

And she said shoppers can anticipate them starting a little earlier so they may want to visit the store and get a flyer. Witmer said it should “make one of the busiest shopping times of the year easier.”

As a preview, she said mechanic tool sets will be on sale and even yard tractors, as well as appliances.

“If you need appliances now, get those orders in and you don’t want to miss out,” Witmer said. “Pick them out now to get ready for the holidays.”

She added, “We have beds to get the guest rooms ready for the company.”

For those dream purchases, Sears Hometown Store Mastercard is available and it can be used anywhere.

Witmer said it comes with “shop your way reward points” that can be used on future purchases.

Calling it a “nice lagniappe,” she said a Sears Hometown customer making a purchase qualifies for a 5 percent discount at gas stations, 3 percent discount at grocery stores and 1 percent on eligible purchases.

Opened in January of 2012, the Sears Hometown Store is packed with everything you need for the lawn and garden season, Witmer said.

Located in the St. Charles Plaza in the old Delchamps building, the retail store features top leading brands of appliances including Kenmore, and also carries Craftsman tools, lawn care equipment and Sealy mattresses.

Sears Hometown Store is located at 12715 U.S. Suite 160B, Luling, and can be reached at (985) 308-1555.
