A search is ongoing for a 41-year-old man who reportedly fell overboard while kayaking on the Mississippi River.
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate Melvin Phillip Emde, a white male from Talihina, Oklahoma, who was reported missing by a family member after he was observed going overboard near Matis Road in Hahnville just after midnight on Aug. 7.
