SCP Sheriff replaces aging office with one that’s factory-fresh

… and it’s about time, too. The old unit served the parish well for 10 years. But repairs required because of roof damaged caused by Hurricane Katrina made the decision to replace it a no-brainer. The office is home to the Special Services Division of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. The cost of the new unit: $151,616.

“We love the new trailer because it is user friendly and provides us with a more conducive work layout,” Capt. Patrick Yoes, spokesman for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s office, said.

“The old trailer will be refurbished and moved to to the firing range which is located at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility. We’ll get it out there in two weeks.”
