Gardner Realtor agent Regina Allemand said that success in her field comes down to one simple thing.
“My motto is that I’m a Realtor who cares,” Allemand said. “My philosophy is that you take care of people and the money will take care of itself.”
With 25 years of experience to her name, Allemand specializes in listings within the River Parishes and says her goals with each client is to meet their needs and ensure that their wants and concerns are each properly addressed.
“I believe you have to have their best interests at heart,” Allemand said. “You can’t push someone into anything and expect satisfaction. These are transactions that take significant investment and my aim is to make sure each and every person I work with is ultimately comfortable and confident in their decision.”
Allemand worked in retail before taking her current career path. Then one day, she met a realtor who sold her a home and inspired her along the way.
“She was kind of considered the local first lady of real estate,” Allemand said. “She left an impression on me.”
She pursued her real estate license and earned it in 1991. She has worked with Gardner Realtors in the entirety of that time and says she has no plans for that to change.
“They’ve been loyal to me and I’ve been loyal to them,” Allemand said. “They’re very family-oriented, which is something that attracted me there to begin with.”
She said it’s extremely rewarding to see clients make a home truly theirs, be it someone starting off of a family making a change.
“Seeing it all come to fruition, it’s something that gives you a really nice feeling,” Allemand said.
Working in St. Charles Parish has been part of what has made her experience an enjoyable one, she said. A native of Luling, not only does Allemand make her home and career in the area, she takes a great deal of pride in having the chance to show the region off.
“I’m very happy to be able to do that,” she said. “And this is a community that’s always growing. Everything you need or want is here or no more than 20 minutes from here. If someone is from here, they don’t choose to leave, or if they do leave they usually find their way back here. People take up roots quickly here.”
Allemand serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Realtors Association and participates in several task forces. She is a member of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors and serves on the Political Action Team locally and also the State Political Action team. Gardner Realtors also honored her with the Lifetime Service to the Industry Award.
She said that all comes down to her belief that it’s an important for a realtor to give back to the real estate industry, as well as the community.
