Police seeking man responsible for Christmas Day hit and run

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a driver responsible for a hit and run crash at the East Bank Bridge Park in Destrehan at approximately 3 p.m. on Christmas Day.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, witnesses observed a dark gray Ford F-250 Super Duty Pick-Up Truck with red or pink pinstripes, leave the roadway and strike the park fence and landscape shrubbery causing moderate damage to the property. The driver then fled the scene traveling westbound on La Hwy 48(River Road). The vehicle should have damage to the front end.
