Police release images of vehicle involved in fatal St. Rose hit-and-run

Police have released surveillance footage of a vehicle sought in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that caused the death of a St. Rose mother early Thanksgiving morning.

The woman, 25-year-old Christin Allday, received life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital, where she later died.

According to state police, the vehicle was traveling southbound on St. Rose Avenue at 1:45 a.m. when the crash occurred. Allday walked across the road and was hit after she failed to yield to the oncoming vehicle.

The vehicle, which is believed to be a dark colored truck or SUV, then turned east onto River Road. The driver of the vehicle did not stop or return to the scene of the crash, state police say.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible for the crime.  Callers do not have to give their name or testify to receive the cash reward.
