A 32-year-old Paradis woman was killed in a Monday morning crash on La. 308 in Lafourche Parish.
According to State Police, Agnes Rounds was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse south on the highway at around 2:30 a.m. when the vehicle veered off the roadway while traveling on a right hand curve.
After leaving the roadway, the Traverse struck a ditch and fence pole, which caused the vehicle to flip over. While the vehicle was flipping, it struck a 2006 Dodge truck that was parked off the highway.
Rounds, who State Police say was not properly restrained, was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
According to State Police, toxicology tests are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
