Paradis men likely set up in robbery

Acquaintances stole money, cell phones, keys

A second arrest was made in the robbery of two Paradis men at their residence in late October.

Roosevelt Ingram, 30, of 132 Norman Ave. in Des Allemands, was arrested on Nov. 6 and charged with armed robbery and carrying an illegal weapon.

Ingram and Jarrod G. Washington, 18, of 353 Sharon Ave. in Boutte,  knocked on the victims’ door, threatened them with a gun and demanded their money, according to police reports.
The robbers then took the victims’ money, cell phones and keys before fleeing.

Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange said the two men were believed to be acquaintances with the victims.

“The perpetrators probably set them up to be robbed,” LaGrange said.

Roosevelt’s bond is set at $100,000.
