Paradis man tempts taste buds with unique Cajun seasonings

If you’re searching for the perfect mix of Cajun seasonings, then you need to look no further than ‘T Pierre’s authentic herbs and spices.

Paradis’ Clyde McCully says that grilling and boiling outdoors has been a lifelong passion that he loves to share with others.

“I grew up in Des Allemands and have always enjoyed boiling seafood for my family,” he said.

His seasonings business, which first came to fruition in 2007, zeros in on genuine southern flavors that differ from any that are usually found on a grocery store shelf, McCully said.

“My goal is to develop new flavors that are unique compared to what locals usually use when boiling or grilling seafood.”

The ‘T Pierre product line includes blackened and Cajun seasonings, seasoned fish fry and seafood boil – all comprised, but not limited to, a variety of flavors that include favorites like paprika, garlic, onion and lemon.

“Developing the seasonings was a trial and error process,” said McCully. “My blender would mix up a batch, we’d taste test it and then make changes if necessary.”

McCully points out that his seasoning line is just the beginning, noting that he has plans to re-engineer an already patented seafood table in addition to developing an efficient and attractive outdoor cookware line.

“The seasoning is our main product right now, but there is definitely a bright future for the ‘T Pierre brand,” he said.

‘T Pierre products can be found locally at Outdoor Express in Boutte or at Frank’s SuperValu in Des Allemands.
