Officials urge St. Charles Parish residents to finish prep for Hurricane Zeta

Hurricane Zeta is expected to make landfall today, and officials said conditions will begin to deteriorate around noon.
Parish officials are asking residents to prepare for, beginning at 1 p.m., 6 hours of strong, damaging tropical storm force winds up to 73 mph and 4-6 inches of rain with flash flooding possible.
Beginning around 4 p.m., officials said 4 hours of hurricane force gusts may begin.
All residents are asked to secure loose items around their homes, ensure no debris is blocking drainage, charge cell phones and ensure all emergency supplies are in place in the event of a loss of power.
