Residents throughout St. Charles Parish who don’t like waiting to be treated for minor medical conditions now have a convenient, new option. LCMC Health Urgent Care at 107 Maryland Drive in Luling, one mile east of Wal-Mart on Hwy 90.
The new clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
This is one of three locations for LCMC Health Urgent Care. The other clinics are in Gretna and Lakeview.
“We’re excited about LCMC Health Urgent Care’s continued growth,” said Medical Director Dr. Kevin DiBenedetto.
He adds, “We look forward to providing increased access to quality, non-emergency medical care when and where it’s needed in St. Charles Parish and as well as the Greater New Orleans area.”
Dr. DiBenedetto said there are plans for substantial growth of the LCMC Health Urgent Care footprint in the region expanding by six to eight more urgent care facilities within the next year.
In addition, the partnership allows for referrals to hospitals like West Jefferson Medical Center and Children’s should a patient need a specialist or primary care.
Both are LCMC Health affiliates.
The clinics provide a convenient, affordable alternative when minor illness or injury occur without appointments or long wait times. Conditions treated include: ear and eye infections, fever, minor cuts that may need stitches, possible broken bones and simple fractures, minor skin infections, severe sore throat, sprains and strains, and vomiting and diarrhea.
Dr. DiBenedetto said they will do some occupational medicine at the Luling site. This includes treatment of workplace injuries, DOT physicals and drug testing.
