New Orleans man charged with aggravated assault

Man stabbed victim with a kitchen knife

On July 17, Dennis Hugle Jr., 30, of 2420 Spain St., New Orleans, was arrested on a warrant issued by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault and simple battery. According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, the warrant was issued following an altercation that involved Hugle and a 21- year- old Norco woman.  The subject allegedly became enraged after he grew suspicious of his girlfriend having a conversation with another male earlier that day.

During the altercation, the subject allegedly punched the victim throughout her body.  The victim attempted to protect herself by curling into a ball.  The subject then stabbed her in the back and legs with a kitchen knife.

Following the punching and stabbing of the victim, Hugle allegedly threatened to cripple the victim with a 45 caliber pistol.

Hugle was arrested at his place of his employment and transported back to St. Charles Parish.
