We are all familiar with the 9-1-1- emergency phone system, but dialing 2-1-1 quickly links residents to a connected, integrated, state wide system of free community services.
Don’t expect to hear a computer generated voice if you dial the number.
A human-being will answer the phone 24 hours a day seven days a week, all year long.
United Way has staff members who will listen to your problems, assess services you may need, and provide information and referrals for the appropriate resources in the community equipped to help you.
All information is provided at no charge and the phone calls are confidential. Of course if you’d rather see someone in person, stop by the local office located at 13207 River Road.
United Way’s office hours are Monday – Thursday 8 am. to 4 p.m. and Friday’s 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
