Motorcycle rider rescued from marsh
A motorcyclist crashed on I-310 and was ejected from the saddle, landing in a marsh along the highway on Wednesday around 1 p.m.
The accident happened near the Interstate 10 exchange.
Capt. Pat Yoes, spokesperson for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office said St. Charles Parish deputies were assisting Louisiana State Police at the scene.
EMS personnel said the motorcyclist was alive and alert, he was pulled from the marsh, but no further details of his condition were given.
The left lanes of I-310 north and south were closed while the rescue was underway, according to State Police.
