Missing Mississippi woman’s body may have been recovered

A body found in the Mississippi River around 6:57 a.m. today (Nov. 6) is believed to be a woman reported missing Nov. 2.

According to the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, employees of Magnolia Fleet reported they were on a barge at Mile Post 122 in the Mississippi River and located a body floating in the water.

The Sheriff’s Office says the woman is believed to be Larrielles Ross of Mississippi, but can’t confirm the identity until dental records are provided and an autopsy is conducted Tuesday in New Orleans.

Ross was reported missing Nov. 2 while working on a barge docked on the Bonnet Carre’ Spillway in Norco for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers MSUA.
