Luling woman charged with theft of $337,000

A 45-year-old Luling businesswoman who co-founded Paradis’ Vous Salon and Spa in 2005 has been charged with stealing around $337,000 from two Harvey car dealerships over the past year.

Charlotte Troxler, 45, of 120 Cottage Drive, was booked with two counts of theft over $500 and 13 counts of forgery in connection with thefts from Ray Brandt Dodge and Leson Chevrolet, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to the arrest report, authorities say Troxler stole the money from the two dealerships while she worked as a comptroller for them. She is accused of stealing $170,550 from the Ray Brandt dealership and $166,578 from Leson Chevrolet.

The report said that Troxler admitted that she forged checks and cashed them in her personal account. It said she also admitted to stealing cash from the businesses.

Troxler worked in administrative and directorial roles for more than 25 years with the New Orleans Saints. In fact, she served as owner Tom Benson’s personal financial officer for some of that time.

Troxler left the Saints when Benson wanted to move most of the staff to San Antonio after Hurricane Katrina.
In 2005, Troxler co-founded Vous in Paradis. Troxler is no longer involved with Vous, but does still own the building that houses the business.
