73-year-old released on $100K bond
A Luling man has been arrested and charged based on accusations of inappropriate sexual relations and battery with a juvenile.
Larry Sweeney Sr., 73, of 109 Dogwood Drive in Luling, was arrested June 28 and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and sexual battery.
Sweeney was booked into Nelson Coleman Correctional Center and was later released June 29 on a bond of $100,000.
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, police became aware of the alleged incident after parents brought the victim to a healthcare provider that contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
A warrant was issued for Sweeney’s arrest.
Sweeney is scheduled to be arraigned July 26.
