Gas truck driver robbed at gun point

A LaPlace man was robbed at gun point while he attempted to deliver diesel fuel to a business location at Campus Dr., Plantation Business Park in Destrehan. The 50 year-old man was stopped by a SUV, occupied by an unknown white male and an unknown black male. When the men approached the victim in his gas truck, they produced automatic handguns and demanded that the driver give them his truck. The driver then informed the men that the truck was full of diesel fuel. The assailants then chose another tactic and demanded the driver give them his money. The victim complied, at which time the unknown men fled the scene.

Sheriff Greg Champagne of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s office announced that the incident is still under investigation. Any persons with information regarding this case should contact the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-783-6807.
