The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced a full road closure Eastbound and Westbound LA 48 (River Road in Destrehan) at Bunge North America, between Jonathan St. and James Dr. W. beginning tonight (June 13) at 7 p.m.
This closure will continue through 5 a.m. Friday, June 17 as DOTD will replace metal panels damaged by Hurricane Ida on the overhead conveyor crossing.
A second closure will run from Saturday, June 18 through Friday, July 1 for the replacement of a metal panel damaged by Hurricane Ida.
To detour, US 61 (Airline Hwy) should be used. Local traffic only between the I-310 On-Ramp and LA 50 (Almedia Road).
