Victims include family member, friend
A 54-year-old Destrehan man was arrested after he was accused of raping two young girls – one of whom was related to him and another who was a family friend.
The man, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victims, is charged with two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and two counts of aggravated rape.
The first victim, who is 7 years old, disclosed the rape to a family member who then contacted the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to Capt. Pat Yoes.
After an investigation and interviews, a second victim, who is 8 years old and is related to the suspect, was discovered, Yoes said.
He added that the 54-year-old is accused of raping each girl inside of his Destrehan home.
