Business Fair at HHS this weekend

Hahnville High School is the location for the 2006 St. Charles Business Association’s annual St. Charles Business Fest and Health Fair. Along with meeting with local businesses, St. Charles Hospital will offer blood pleasure screenings, bone density screenings, glucose screenings and self breast exam demonstrations.

Planned by the St. Charles Business Association, the fair will give people in the Parish a chance to meet local businesses and see what they have to offer. The fair will feature several businesses including Dow Chemical, Monsanto, Valero Norco Refinery, First National Bank, Southern Coffee and local real estate agents, just to name a few.

Also in attendance will be Total Balance Massage offering free massages. The St. Charles Fireman Association will offer fire safety tips. The St. Charles Parish Sheriffs Office will offer child fingerprinting.

Food will be provided by Dougie V’s of Luling. Special musical entertainment will be by Blanche Newsome, a local singer from Luling.

St. Charles Department of Economical Development will have a representative from the Louisiana Recovery Authority available for questions and information involving the rebuilding of Louisiana.

Door prizes are donated by every booth involved in the fair. The fair will have drawings for door prizes about every 15 minutes. Individual booths will also have their own prizes to be awarded.

As with last year, local Festival Queens from the area will assist in the registration booths.

The event is sponsored by The St. Charles Business Association, St. Charles Parish Hospital, St. Charles Parish Government and St. Charles Parish Public Schools. “This is the best opportunity for local businesses to market themselves and have face to face contact with the public,” said Rhonda Sigrist of the St. Charles Business Association. She went on to say, “We have anywhere from 700-1500 visitors to the fair.”

Don’t miss this great opportunity to see St. Charles Parish businesses and organizations display of merchandise and services. The Business Fest and Health Fair will be held on Friday, March 10 12:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at HHS. Admission is free and open to the public.
