East Bank boil advisory rescinded in all areas

The boil water advisory for all affected areas of St. Charles Parish has been rescinded.

The St. Charles Parish Water District #1 (East Bank) Water System in coordination with the Department of Health administered a Boil Water Advisory for water customers in New Sarpy, Destrehan and St. Rose north of the Canadian National Railroad due to a drop-in system pressure.

All samples collected and analyzed by the Department of Health are negative for contaminants and the water is safe to drink. The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. Residents may resume normal water usage.

The boil water advisory was mandated on Oct. 31 after the St. Charles Water District #1 (East Bank) experienced low water pressure in a large portion of the parish’s water supply system.
