The body of a man who was reported missing on Oct. 4 was found Sunday near St. Bernard Parish, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Tramaine Harrison’s body was located in the Mississippi River, two days after a friend reported Harrison as missing to St. Charles Parish police. Harrison’s vehicle was discovered on top of the Hale Boggs Bridge in Luling that day with no driver, and the caller could not get in touch with Harrison, prompting the report.
The Sheriff’s Office initially released a missing person report in hopes of locating Harrison in good health, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. James Grimaldi.
Grimaldi said the incident is still under investigation, though foul play is not suspected at this time. Anyone with information in relation to the incident, is asked by the Sheriff’s Office asked to contact Detective Jennifer James at (985)783-1135 or (985)783-6807.
Harrison was 40 years old and a resident of St. James Parish.
