Ashton Manor to hold open house

Ashton Manor Assisted Living and Memory Care will hold an open house 4 – 6 p.m. Thursday (March 8).

“We’re doing an open house to invite people from the community to see what assisted living truly is,” said Stephanie Maxwell, Ashton Manor’s new executive director. “We’re not a nursing home.”

The event also gives the public an opportunity to meet Maxwell, as well as take tours of the facility at 270 Ashton Plantation Blvd., Luling.

Maxwell said they are also offering a spring special where anyone who places a deposit by March 31 will save $3,000.

Locally owned Ashton Manor was designed to provide care for people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Housing is arranged into “specialized neighborhoods” for residents, as well as provides 24-hour personal care and helps manage medication. Residents also get three meals a day prepared by a chef.

Services also include religious services, housekeeping and laundry, safe and secure community, full-time activities director, wellness and fitness program and scheduled transportation.

Refreshments and a special Easter basket of treats will be given as a door prize. For more information, call (985) 888-0868.
