Arrests made in thousand dollar St. Rose drug heist

Two New Orleans men, who allegedly stole thousands of dollars of pharmaceutical drugs ranging from pain medication to Viagra from a St. Rose warehouse, have been arrested by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Randon Robinson, of 1911 Bayou Road, and 38-year-old Dathennile Parker, of 1905 Bayou Road, robbed the warehouse at gunpoint and locked workers into a tractor trailer before loading the drugs into a box truck.

Authorities are also seeking a third man, 50-year-old Eddie Mathews, who they say took part in the crime. His last known address was 2411 Thalia St. in New Orleans.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Pat Yoes said that the drugs have yet to be recovered.
