There’s a new German Coast Farmers’ Market coming to the west bank of the Mississippi River thanks to $10,000 in funding from the Archer Daniels Midland Company’s Community Grants Program.
The GC Farmers’ Market has been a tradition in Destrehan on the east bank. And ADM is confident the new west bank location will likewise serve as a community gathering place, tourist destination and market for farm-fresh produce, flowers and other agricultural products, which will support parish farms and businesses.
