A man and woman residing on the East Bank of St. Charles Parish were arrested Feb. 5 and charged with sexually assaulting a female juvenile family member 27 years ago.
The man was charged with sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile, while the woman was charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and performing sexually immoral acts.
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, the two suspects were immediately related to the victim. Police learned of the incident when the victim recently reported it to the Sheriff’s Office.
The names of the suspects were withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
The two suspects are being held at Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility.
