2 teachers have credit cards stolen

Were used to make purchases from mall

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman they say used two credit cards that were reported stolen from teachers at Luling Elementary.

On April 8, two teachers at the school reported that their credit cards were stolen from their purses during school hours, according to authorities. Later on that day, the two cards were used at several stores at Lakeside Mall.

Police have released an image that was captured by a mall surveillance camera. They believe the woman in the photo used the stolen credit cards to make several purchases.

“We don’t know if the woman in the picture is the one who took the cards, but we believe that the video shows her using them,” Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said. “We will  continue to follow up on any leads we receive in order to catch the person responsible.”

Anyone with information regarding this incident or who can identify the woman is asked to call the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985)783-1135 or (985)783-6807.
