On Nov. 4, an 18 wheeler carrying Caustic Potash overturned on 100 Oak Lane near the Monsanto Chemical Plant.
The tanker, which was carrying 45 gallons of the substance, blocked the train tracks on the road for more than two hours. State Troopers, along with Luling firemen and the state Hazmat team, responded to the wreck and proceeded to safely clean up the wreckage.
The vehicle was finally removed at 4:26 p.m. and only one gallon of the Caustic Potash escaped from the tanker. No one was injured in the accident.
