Workshop: Plan the future for loved ones with disabilities, special needs

St. Charles Parish Schools and LASIG2 will host an event on Jan. 25 for those who have loved ones with disabilities or special needs.

The event will be held at the Professional Learning Center, 12715 Highway 90 in Luling, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The keynote speaker is Steven Jankower, attorney and counselor at law.

Jankower has spent years dealing with complex legal issues faced by families with elderly, disabled and special-needs members.

He is a father of a special- needs child and has first-hand knowledge of the challenges these individuals face every day.

Discussions will center around planning for your disabled or special-needs child’s future and Medicaid planning. The public is invited to participate in this interactive and informative workshop free of charge.

Limited babysitting will be available; please call early to reserve a spot.
