In December, St. Charles Parish Sheriff Champagne promoted two employees of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Eddy Beckendorf was promoted to Major. Beckendorf commands the Administrative Services Department with direct supervision of Information Technology, Criminal Records, Purchasing, Personnel and Crime Analysis. In addition Major Beckendorf also remains the Director of the 9-1-1 Center and the Commander of the Communications Department. Beckendorf has been with the Sheriff’s Office since July of 2006.
Cary Armand was promoted to Captain. Armand is the Deputy Director of the 9-1-1 Center, the Assistant Commander of the Communications Department and the Information Technology Administrator. Captain Armand also serves as the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office representative on the Region 3 Interoperability Committee (RIC) and assists with statewide interoperability initiatives for Region 1. Armand has been with the Sheriff’s Office since January of 2005.
