Some 300 children attended a holiday celebration featuring a toy giveaway Dec. 20 at the Killona Fire Station.
Lenneria Franklin, assisted by Keldrick Lockett, organized the event.
Franklin said Divine Concepts II based in Gretna sponsored the event, which also included lunch attended by nearly 400 adults.
Local officials including St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne and Parish President-elect Larry Cochran attended the gathering.
