HOUMA – Individual show tickets went on sale February 1, 2006 for the hit Broadway musical comedy, “Mame,” performing live on stage at the Houma-Terrrebonne Civic Center on Sunday, March 19th at 6:30 pm. “Mame,” the first production in the re-scheduled 2005-2006 Chase Season of Entertainment, is the story of the indestructible Auntie Mame who enjoys her place in the center of New York high society in the roaring ’20s. During one of her famed cocktail parties, her ten-year-old orphaned nephew Patrick arrives at the door and Mame learns that she is to be his guardian. This delightful carnival of a musical, with spectacular costumes and energetic choreography follows Mame and Patrick through years of fantastic and funny adventures.

“Mame” is a banquet of life, one of the liveliest, happiest and most entertaining musicals of Broadway’s golden age. Audiences will jump to their feet and leave the theater humming every song.

Individual tickets are also now on sale for other upcoming shows in the 2005-2006 Chase Season of Entertainment, including “Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventure” on April 4, “Caillou’s Book Club” on May 6 and Hal Holbrook in “Mark Twain Tonight” on May 9.
