Hundreds of parish residents walked from the West Bank Bridge Park to the parish courthouse in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday.
The march was hosted by the Martin Luther King Commemorative Organization.
“It’s something we do to keep his dream alive, which has really and truly pretty much come true,” said Margaret Marshall, one of the parade organizers. “He’s saying you can be anything you want to be, regardless of your race.”
