Students conduct the Satellite Center electric art show

On March 5th, the Engineering Design class conducted its Electric Art Show.

The Engineering Team members applied their knowledge of electric and electronic circuits, along with their artistic creativity, to design and build unique art forms.  The art forms included light, sound and motion.

The engineers spent many weeks working on their project. Each team began with a budget, which limited the materials they could purchase.

They applied what they learned about physics and electrical engineering.

For many members, this was their first experience designing and building electric circuits. Many had to learn new skills, such as breadboarding and soldering.  The results were very different and truly unique forms of art.

Team members from other Satellite Center classes attended this special demonstration.
