Student graduates from Latter-Day Saint seminary

Destrehan High School graduate Isaiah Harding accepted his graduation certificate May 25 for completing four years of early-morning scripture study classes from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seminary program.

Harding attended seminary at 6 a.m. every school day and completed studying the Old and New Testaments, the Book of Mormon and the doctrine and covenants. In addition to attending seminary, Harding had a full schedule participating on the Destrehan varsity football team and varsity wrestling team.

Harding plans to continue his education at South Central Louisiana Technical College in Reserve.

“Going to Seminary is the best way to start the day out,” Harding said. “I learned that no matter what life throws at you, you can get back up if you have God first.”
