Former Luling Elementary and current R.K. Smith student Kevell Byrd donated $100 to the Luling school’s 4-H Club, where she was the 2013-14 President, as well as $100 to Beta Club that will enable both clubs to support a medical cause of their choice this school year.
Byrd, the regional elementary student of the year for 2013, raised the donated funds through her non-profit Rise 2 Royalty Inc.
