St. Charles Women’s Club held its annual Autumn Auction at the Professional Learning Center on U.S. Highway 90 in Luling in November.
Local shopkeeper of Roussell’s Antiques; Anthony Lucia was the auctioneer. Over 100 club members donated items, which included homemade baked items. Pam Shepard and Sally Shexnayder were the chairwomen of this year’s Ways and Means Committee. The Autumn Auction is one of the club’s two major fundraisers. All monies raised during the year are donated back into the St. Charles Parish community. The SCWC reported the Autumn Auction brought in $6,410. Among other nonprofit donations, the SCWC will soon be taking applications for its numerous scholarships to be awarded in the spring.
