St. Charles Parish Girl Scouts participate in Lego League

A group of St. Charles Parish Girl Scouts recently participated in their First Lego League challenge and came home with the next best thing to winning, The Rising Star Award.

First Lego League (FLL) is designed for children grades 4-8 (ages 9-14) and introduces younger students to real-world engineering challenges. In FLL, children are submersed in real world science and technology challenges, which teach them to think like scientists and engineers. Teams design their own solution to a current scientific question or problem and build autonomous LEGO robots that perform a series of missions.

Guided by their imaginations and adult coaches and mentors, FLL participants develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities while learning that they can make a positive contribution to society.
