St. Charles Parish Library’s Annual Teen Lock-In will visit the Star Wars Universe. Teens ages 12 to 17 are invited to attend the seventh annual Teen Lock-In at the East Regional Library, 160 W. Campus Dr., in Destrehan, from June 10 at 8 p.m. to June 11 at 7 a.m.
Participants will have a chance to play indoor laser tag, visit a far-away spa, explore a virtual reality room, go on a Holocron hunt, make Wookie koozies, drink Yoda Soda and much more.
“The lock-in is the year’s biggest event for teens,” said Teen Services Librarian Amy Duke. “It’s fun to be in the library after it closes, and it gives everyone a chance to be loud, play games, and do all sorts of things that you can’t do at the library when it’s open.”
Permission slips and information packets are available at St. Charles Parish Library locations and online at www.myscpl.org/teens.
There is a limited number of spaces available for the lock-in, and no permission slips will be taken after the limit has been reached. If the limit is not reached, the last day to return signed permission slips will be June 2 at 5 p.m.
All St. Charles Parish Library events are free of charge and open to the public. Registration in the Summer Reading Program is not necessary to attend events. More information is at all library locations and at www.myscpl.org/summer.
