St. Charles Borromeo students visit nation’s capital

Sixty-nine middle school students along with their chaperones at St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan recently visited Williamsburg and Washington, D.C.

Led by Lisa Benoit, middle school coordinator, the trip served as a hands-on learning experience to their social studies curriculum. The tour also featured a visit to Colonial Williamsburg, the Smithsonian Museum Complex, the National Archives, State Capital, Ford’s Theatre, Lincoln, Jefferson, World War II and Vietnam War Memorials, Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery and the White House.
