Over 20 people attended an arts fair held by the St. Charles Art Guild Oct. 9 at the St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan.
Participants were treated to courses from guild volunteers in four different media, including watercolor, multi-colored ink, acrylic paint and black ink. Participants’ artwork will be on display at the East Bank Regional Library in Destrehan through Nov. 8.
The workshop was developed to introduce adults to visual arts as a means of expression, and was supported by grants through the Arts Council of New Orleans, the River Regions Arts & Humanities Council, the St. Charles Women’s Club, and the St. Charles Art Guild.
