The St. Charles Art Guild sponsored a one day adult painting day at the St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan.
Twelve artists tapped into their artistic spirit participating in a full day of painting fun.
Art guild member, Nancy Keisman, introduced the basics of painting with acrylics in the morning session. They painted with watercolor in the afternoon session, working with a variety of techniques and types of papers under the tutelage of Art Guild member, Laurie Abadie.
The Art Guild is planning on other art opportunities in the future and is open to community members to join in.
The St. Charles Art Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan at 9:30 am.
The meeting always includes a presentation/demonstration by a working artist.
