After participating in contests, educational events, and service activities all year long, St. Charles Parish 4-H members came together to celebrate the ending of the 2009-2010 year by not only competing in contests but also receiving gold medals, trophies, plaques, ribbons, and certificates for their year long achievement at the annual 4-H Achievement Day held at Hahnville High School in Boutte.
4-H members participated in an array of contests including method demonstrations, public speaking, horticulture judging, consumer foods judging, good grooming and fashion.
Those members who attended sewing workshops throughout the year displayed their garments during a Fashion Review. Other members displayed their musical talent during a 4-H Talent Show. 4-H Clubs also participated in song and yell competitions where the most spirited clubs received a spirit stick passed down from the previous winner.
After competing in contests, members received recognition for a job well done.
