Sheriff’s deputies donate blood for officer shot in Jeff. Parish

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office recently held a Blood Drive at its Headquarters in Luling for Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Stephen Arnold, who was shot in the line of duty last week while executing a search warrant with the DEA Task Force in New Orleans.

He remains in critical condition. Fifty-six potential donors participated in the Ochsner Blood Drive resulting 50 units of blood donated in Deputy Arnold’s name. Sheriff Greg Champagne stated, “It’s heartwarming to see how many people from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office and the community came out to show support for Deputy Arnold. We ask that you continue to keep Deputy Arnold and his family in your prayers.”
