The St. Charles Borromeo Middle School Students and the St. Charles Borromeo Fountain of Youth held their Annual Mardi Gras Ball “The Krewe of Ormond” for the residents of Ormond Nursing and Care Center.

Hundreds of students, residents and their families, parishioners and employees enjoyed a wonderful evening of entertainment.

This wonderful service-learning event is made possible because of a grant by The John D. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation.

The 8th grade students are in charge of planning the event. They helped the Pink Ladies of RSVP wash, cut and style the residents hair, polish nails and put on make-up in the morning of the event.

Then the night of the Ball, the students served as greeters, escorts, dancing partners and servers of food and cake. This is a wonderful experience for both the residents and the students.

Many hearts are touched and lives are changed.
