Miles Bingham of Luling was chosen as Citizen of the year for the St. Charles Rotary Club. Bingham has been an outstanding volunteer in our community.
He has been an active member of the St. Charles Soccer League for 17 years and coached teams every year, as well as served as an active board member and as club president for two terms.
On his own time and expense, Bingham has earned multiple certificates to improve his knowledge as coach and referee to better serve the youths who play soccer.
Bingham has dedicated nearly every weekend for 17 years to the youths of St. Charles Parish.
Also, as a certified professional civil engineer, he has worked as a volunteer with the American Society of Civil Engineers to submit Historical Engineering landmarks projects to the Society as historical landmarks.
He recently also received the Community Outreach Award from the American Society of Engineers.
